IDentity Flex RFID Reader System
Overview
The IDentity Flex reader system uses Radio Frequency
Identification (RFID) technology to read SIRIT's IDentity Flex
and Title 21 vehicle mounted transponders. Mounted in a weather
resistant NEMA enclosure, it is a self-contained versatile reader
capable of stand-alone operation or interfacing with industry
standard controllers.
The IDentity Flex reader's unique ability to interface up to
four antennas creates an economical solution for automatic vehicle
access requirements.
Multi-Channel Reader
Each reader system is capable of servicing four separate antenna
locations. Each of the four locations are supported by two
independent discrete TTL capable inputs, which may be used for
such purposes as vehicle detecting loops or light curtains.
Additionally, each location is also supported by two discrete
outputs which are jumper configurable for either +5VDC or
+12VDC current limited outputs. These outputs can be used for
such purposes as gate vending control or vehicle stop-and-go light
control. Each of the four antennas may be remotely located from
the reader system with up to 200 feet of coaxial cable.
Communication
The IDentity Flex system is capable of communicating
transponder activity to a variety of established host systems, as
well as simply reporting transponder identification information
via RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 to the host. Additionally, each
of the four different transponder reading channels has their own
independent Wiegand protocol outputs for reporting to host
systems.
